Polish death metal mob Hate unveil ripping new track ‘Path To Arkhen’
Blackened death metallers Hate have recently revealed a rough mix of their scaldingly vicious new track, ‘Path To Arkhen.’
Numbering the first offering to be extracted from their as-yet-untitled forthcoming album, this diabolical slab audibly bristles with all the battering, brimstone-scorched pacing and ritualistic presence for which the Polish aggressors are fast becoming notorious. And despite its inevitably raw, unmanicured state, there’s no mistaking the lacerating precision and energy that underlines every pummelling blast, gargling scream and snaking, densely muscular groove. From vicious stints of blastbeating ultraviolence to sinewy slabs of blackly majestic fretwork and craggy textures that palpably ooze classic Norwegian darkness, ‘…Arkhen’ witnesses a seamless marriage of trappings extracted from across these uncompromisingly extreme traditions.
With the record tipped for a tentative early 2019 release, frontman Adam "ATF Sinner" Buszko remarks, “This is a new dawn of a sincerely empowering and galvanising journey to be on. Thematically, it builds further upon the themes of our previous album, ‘Tremendum,’ exploring the darker and more malevolent sides of archaic Slavic ritualism. This new opus will explore these themes further, more profoundly, detailing with our own confrontations with this gone, but not forgotten world.”
